Job Summary:
Support and enhance Cervotessile’s sales efforts in North America by managing client communications, coordinating sales operations, and building strong customer relationships. The Junior Sales Assistant will be responsible for both office-based tasks, such as handling emails and processing orders, and fieldwork, including visiting clients, conducting meetings, and providing inperson support to strengthen business relationships.
This role requires a previous experience in sales or account management within the textile, fashion, or related industries, as well as excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The Sales Assistant will work closely with Sales Team, and the HQ Back Office Team to optimize service levels, support business growth, and address commercial and logistical challenges.
Responsibilities
Sales Support & Client Management:
· Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service and understanding their specific needs.
· Travel to meet clients, conduct in-person meetings, present products, and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Assist the Sales Team in sales presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions.
· Provide feedback from client visits to the Sales Team and headquarters to improve service and product offerings.
· Track and follow up on client orders, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any concerns.
Back Office Activities:
· Collaborate with mills (both Italian and Chinese) to manage order fulfillment and stock availability.
· Coordinate with shipping couriers to oversee the logistics of orders and deliveries.
· Work closely with the Sales Team and HQ Back Office Supervisor to optimize sales operations.
· Manage high-volume emails and phone calls efficiently, ensuring clear and professional communication.
Office & Logistics Support:
· Coordinate showroom appointments, product displays, and client visits.
· Manage courier shipments and mail, including coordinating DHL pickup services with the main office.
Skills and Abilities Required:
· Bachelor's degree
· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, account management, or customer service within the textile, fashion, or related industries.
· Strong communication skills—both oral and written.
· Basic computer skills.
· Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong determination, motivation, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability and desire to go the "extra mile”.
· Ability and willingness to travel regularly to visit clients.
· Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
· Knowledge and basic understanding of operations, inventory, and sales activities.
· English language essential; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
· Must have all required documentation to work in the U.S.; Visa sponsorship from Italy is not available
