We currently have an opening in our Middletown, CT office for a full time Electrical Engineer.
This individual will be responsible for the design and layout of power, lighting, communications and fire alarm and special systems.
Essential Functions
- Designs portions of a project using engineering formulas and skills for ensuring safety and technical accuracy.
- Reviews design project for code compliance and performs code research as required to comply with applicable State, Local and Federal codes.
- Identifies and selects equipment from appropriate manufacturing catalogs for specific applications.
- Ability to perform on-site investigations and surveys prior to design.
- Writes electrical specifications through completion.
- Coordinates the contract documents between engineering disciplines and architectural details.
- Participates in coordination meetings with owner / architect.
- Provides technical support to contractors throughout construction.
- Instructs designers on how to produce designs into complete drawings.
- Performs his or her own drafting / design using AutoCAD and / or Revit and reviews own work for accuracy.
