The Role
Our Program Analytics and Technology team is committed to delivering innovative solutions and an exceptional service. We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist with experience in producing Power BI reports from SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and database management. You will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and visualizing data to support various business functions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Power BI Dashboards or reports from a Project Controls SQL Server Database.
- Support assignments and strategically applying project data to solve issues.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and two (2) years of project data or data science experience; or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma and five (5) years of project data or data science experience.
- Must be highly proficient in Power BI, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and have experience developing reports from financial and project systems. Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis and dashboard creation, and advanced Excel skills for reporting and financial analysis.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Perform additional project control-related duties as required.
Work Environment:
This position may involve both office-based work and site visits to project locations, requiring occasional travel to oversee project progress and resolve on-site issues.
