Responsible Charge Engineer

CES Consulting, LLC is an engineering and construction management firm focused on quality, safety, compliance, innovation, and value. Over the years, CES expanded its services to include utility management, construction at-risk, and civil engineering services.

We are hiring a Responsible Charge Engineer for our Engineering practice in the Salem/Roanoke Area.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Regional Director as an RCE Engineer you will play a pivotal role in leading inspector and construction management teams.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall project contract and regulatory compliance
• Submittal processing and review
• Review design documents for constructability and compliance
• Provide oversight of submittals reviews during construction delivery.
• Development of quality control and assurance plans
• Provide direction on project changes, claim avoidance, monthly payment, and acceptance
  
  

Education, Certifications, And Experience

• Professional Engineer licensure required
• Prior experience on VDOT Construction Projects required
• Minimum of 10 years of transportation construction experience required
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred
• Design Build Professional (DBIA) Certification preferred
