We are hiring a Responsible Charge Engineer for our Engineering practice in the Hampton Roads area.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Regional Director as an RCE Engineer you will play a pivotal role in leading inspector and construction management teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall project contract and regulatory compliance
- Submittal processing and review
- Review design documents for constructability and compliance
- Provide oversight of submittals reviews during construction delivery.
- Development of quality control and assurance plans
- Provide direction on project changes, claim avoidance, monthly payment, and acceptance
Education, Certifications, and Experience
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- VDOT Asphalt Field 1 & 2
- VDOT Soils & Aggregate
- ACI Concrete Field 1
- Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Control
- Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Certification - E&S and Stormwater Management
