Responsibilities :
The Reading Specialist or Reading Teacher has a focus on providing reading intervention in small groups and 1 : 1 with students in grades K5-2.
The employee may also provide some professional development to staff within the school. The specialist also consults with teachers and parents, trains others in the use of informal assessment as part of an individual student intervention plan, and assists staff in interpreting data.
Qualifications :
Valid DPI Reading Specialist or Reading Teacher licensure
Experience developing and facilitating professional development
Proven experience managing and modifying student behavior
Disposition for teamwork and collaborative thinking
