We're Hiring: Alternative Program Paraprofessionals – Make a Difference in Students' Lives!

CESA 5 and Waupaca County Alternative Program (WCAP) is looking for two dedicated and compassionate Alternative Program Paraprofessionals to assist our teachers in providing exceptional support and instruction to students at the middle and high school level. The Alternative Program Aide assists teachers in planning, delivery, and evaluation of instruction provided to special education students.
Applicant must either possess or be eligible to apply for a Wisconsin DPI Special Education Aide license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Support to Students: provide instruction and support to students with behavioral challenges under the direction of the classroom teacher, ensuring that each student receives the individualized support they need to succeed.
- Supervise Student Activities: Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Classroom Assistance: Assist in the overall supervision of the classroom, supporting teachers with instructional tasks and classroom management.
- Prepare Classroom Materials: Create and organize classroom materials, helping to create a positive and efficient learning space.
- Transport Students: Safely transport students to and from home in an agency vehicle, following established guidelines.
