Chavez Media (CM), a subsidiary of the CCF, is dedicated to uplifting and inspiring the audiences we engage with. CMG accomplishes this purpose through the operation of 17 broadcast radio licenses, streaming and other digital media, content creation, digital marketing, and production of special events: among other approaches, strategies, venues and platforms.
Job Summary:
Brand Engagement Technicians (BET) report to the Marketing Manager of CM for overall strategy and metric reporting and will need to collaborate with other BETs and the schedule coordinator for their market for task assignments. They lead our in-person engagement initiatives and promote CM’s diverse portfolio of brands, products, and services. They also double as brand ambassadors for our clientele when activating onsite at a client’s business location. They assist the Marketing Team in the development of campaigns, promotional activities, and messaging that align with our organizational values, highlight value propositions, and align with the needs of the target audience. The ideal candidate will be a versatile, outgoing, energetic, and personable personality who knows how to interact with the general public in a manner that leaves a lasting positive impression of the brand or service they are representing at the moment.
Marketing & Outreach Strategy:
- Assist the Marketing Manager in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and outreach plans utilizing strategies aligned with CM’s objectives.
- Assist in the management of online communities for the various company-owned business lines.
- Assist in data collection efforts and provide feedback or detailed reporting on promotional activities, including audience interactions and feedback received that can inform the Marketing Manager on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
- Create and oversee the execution of engaging and impactful audience engagement initiatives across various audience touchpoints including in-person interactions, via social media, on-air, and others.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of promotional events, including setting up booths, tents, and sound equipment.
- Generate new and innovative ideas for marketing campaigns or opportunities that capture audience attention and drive engagement.
Audience Engagement:
- Reporting to assigned activations in a timely and presentable manner.
- Act as the face of the brand or brands they are representing at any given activation, event, or community gathering.
- Engage with the public utilizing strategies developed by the marketing team to promote the brand and its product or services.
- Be prepared to answer questions about the brand, products, or services being promoted and gather feedback to improve the information available or offerings provided.
- Engage the audience to participate in the creation of or interaction with content on social media to grow our audience and key metrics.
- Always wear the appropriate attire and brand representative uniform or swag that makes you an easily identifiable brand ambassador.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and stakeholders to support engagement initiatives and partnerships.
- Ensure all promotional activities run smoothly and professionally.
Equipment Care:
- Take any necessary steps to ensure the care for any company-owned equipment and mitigate risks to equipment, staff members, and the audience.
- Immediately report any issues with equipment that requires maintenance, updating, or replacement.
- Assist with the maintenance of company vehicles including scheduled mechanical tune-ups, cleaning, and organization.
Other:
- Readily available to perform any other Chavez Media-related function where necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs. without the fear of injury.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Comfortable with public speaking and engaging with diverse audiences.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
- Previous experience in marketing, promotions, media, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Bilingual communication, both written and verbal.
