Job Summary
Our client is looking for an experienced Credit Officer to analyze the credit risk associated with Corporate Finance or Structured Finance such as Project finance, Property Finance and Acquisition Finance transactions in the Americas.
The primary role of Credit Officer is for credit approval tasks, including the review of credit applications submitted by the front office and presenting loan proposals to the appropriate credit committees for approval. Additionally, the role includes conducting periodic reviews of existing loans.
Job Description
Review all the relevant credit information of each credit application and other supporting documents
submitted by front office and thoroughly analyze various risk elements of credit risk to ensure credit
worthiness of each application in a timely manner
Scope of the analysis and review includes, but not limited to, quantitative and qualitative analysis of
Submit the loan proposal to the appropriate credit committee for approval
Supervise ongoing portfolio surveillance including regular financial assessment, covenant compliance
and any required amendments throughout the duration of the loan.
Conduct appropriate internal credit rating and periodic loan review to provide early warnings of
potential problem loans
If applicable, Monitor and supervise problem loans(including ''watch lists'' of loans) and present written
reports to management
Other credit related works / projects as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related major is preferred and - - Advanced Degree and formal credit training a plus.
Relevant professional certificates such as CFA or AICPA is preferred
Credit officer career in Structured Finance will be an advantage for this role.
