Job Summary
The Production Associate / Specialist is responsible for assisting with supporting the Production Department in the role of managing material inventory and production schedules. Assists with preparing and maintaining the status reports related to production rates, progress, material inventories, materials used, and purchase orders. Assist with providing specific information to the Production Management team related to the inventories and production control plans while providing input and
coordination for meeting production schedules.
Job Description
Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the company
Identify problems and review related information to help develop and evaluate options and implement
product solutions
Help analyze production processes and schedules to identify opportunities for improving coordination of production, quality and shipping
Help establish and focus on priorities, assign workloads and difficult and complex assignments amidst
frequent interruptions
Confer with Production Management to assess progress towards production schedules and access the need for changes to make that could result from the environmental assessment
Assist with compiling and preparing documentation related to production schedules
Upon approval distribute / communicate production schedules and work orders to appropriate employees
Provide backup support to the Assistant Production Manager
Analyze production process / flow and prepare reports to make recommendations to improve the company's production
Assist with verifying inventories as needed
Participate in meetings as required
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor Degree preferred (not required)
Three to Five years of production experience in a manufacturing environment required
Experience working in the automotive or steel industry preferred (not required)
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
