Job Summary :
Textron Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Operations to support the Textron Systems team in Hunt Valley, MD. He / She will report directly to the Sr. Vice President, Air, Land and Sea Systems and will provide leadership and accountability for all manufacturing operations at the Hunt Valley, MD location. This position is responsible for establishing the vision, goals, and metrics across the manufacturing organization that supports the various Air, Land and Sea programs.
Responsibilities :Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior level, multi-site, lean and / or quality leadership role preferably in a DOD or Aerospace Environment.
- Successful track record of Talent development and problem solving.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail, and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Manufacturing Engineering - Early influence in design for manufacturability and design for unit production cost.
- Manufacturing strategy – outsource vs insource, capacity planning.
