Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures
- Perform diagnostic cardiac imaging
- Monitor patient vital signs during procedures
- Maintain sterile field
- Operate specialized cardiac equipment
- Document procedures and patient data
- Participate in emergency situations
- Coordinate with cardiac care team
- Set up and maintain sterile tables
- Circulate during cardiac procedures
- Assist with inventory management
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- CIR Certificate or VIR from ARRT
- 3 years Cath Lab experience
- Current state licensure
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Experience with cardiac procedures
- Sterile technique proficiency
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy
- Emergency response capability
- 5 years cardiac cath lab experience
- Experience with multiple cardiac imaging systems
- EP lab experience
- Prior VA or military healthcare experience
- Teaching/training experience
- Experience with structural heart procedures
- RCIS certification
- Morning Shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
- Evening Shift: 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM
- Shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break
- Position requires flexibility to work any of the three shifts as scheduled
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Call coverage may be required based on department needs
- Schedule is posted two weeks in advance
- Must be able to report to any of the three VA facilities as needed:
- Manhattan Campus
- Brooklyn Campus
- St. Albans Community Living Center
