Cetechs is recruiting CT Technologists to deliver services to qualified recipients at the Iowa City VA Medical Center. This position involves providing computed tomography imaging for veterans and other eligible individuals at the Department of Veterans Affairs facility in Iowa City
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional.
- Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients.
- Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images.
- Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging.
- Examining images to ensure they are usable.
- Updating patient medical information
- Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment.
- Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required.
Regular Shifts
- Weekdays: Monday through Friday
- Shift Duration: 8 hours
- Shift Window: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Flexible Start Times: Between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Holidays: Services not required unless on call
- Continuous Availability: CT technologist(s) must be reachable by phone at all times
- Initial Contact: Within 15 minutes of first attempt
- On-Site Presence: Within 60 minutes of confirmed notification
- You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program or equivalent.
- Must have a current (ARRT) (CT) - certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Active BLS Certification
- Proven experience working as a CT technologist.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Provide proof of Health Record as required.
