Position Overview: Join our dynamic medical imaging team performing advanced CT procedures for our nation's veterans. This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic CT scans including cardiac CT and interventional procedures
- Operate 320/64 slice CT scanners with expertise
- Administer and monitor contrast media
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team
- Assist in emergency/trauma situations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- ARRT certification (R)
- Advanced ARRT certification in CT
- Current state licensure
- BLS certification
- Experience with 320/64 slice CT scanners
- IV contrast administration experience
- Strong patient care skills
- 3 years CT experience
- Trauma center experience
- Experience with cardiac CT protocols
- Prior VA or military healthcare experience
- Morning Shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
- Evening Shift: 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM
- Shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break
- Position requires flexibility to work any of the three shifts as scheduled
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Call coverage may be required based on department needs
- Schedule is posted two weeks in advance
- Must be able to report to any of the three VA facilities as needed:
- Manhattan Campus
- Brooklyn Campus
