Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist to provide comprehensive radiation oncology services at the VA Medical Center in Memphis. This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment while delivering critical care to our veteran population in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive radiation oncology services including patient consultations, treatment planning, and follow-up care
- Perform complex radiation treatment procedures including IMRT, SBRT, and SRS
- Participate in tumor boards and quality assurance activities
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Provide on-call coverage as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO degree with board certification in Radiation Oncology (ABR)
- Current, unrestricted medical license in any US state or territory
- Minimum 5 years post-residency clinical experience
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy
- IMRT (3 years experience)
- SBRT/SRS (minimum 10 documented cases in last 2 years)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Proficiency with Eclipse treatment planning and ARIA systems
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- On-call rotation coverage required
