Senior Financial Advisor & Financial Services Program Manager
What we need:
The Senior Financial Advisor & Financial Services Program Manager (herein referred to as “SFA & FSPM”) and Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution (sometimes referred to as the “Bank”)agree as follows:
SFA & FSPM will be employed by the Bank and registered through Cetera Investment Services LLC(herein referred to as “Cetera”) to perform the duties and responsibilities (set forth below) of a Senior Financial Advisor while also serving as the Financial Services Program Manager for the portion of the Bank’s business known as S&B Financial Services (the “program”) with the responsibilities of the Financial Services Program Manager being set forth below as well.
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants are required to hold a current FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) in order to be considered.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Customer-Centered Financial Planning
- Deliver tailored financial advice and strategies to meet Customers’ unique goals and circumstances.
- Provide ongoing plan reviews and updates to ensure alignment with Customer needs and compliance standards.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships based on trust, respect, and integrity.
Sales and Business Development
- Drive revenue growth through a diverse portfolio of investment products, including mutual funds, annuities, ETFs, stocks, bonds, and insurance products.
- Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Foster referrals from internal partners to deepen Customer engagement.
Compliance and Operational Excellence
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and broker-dealer policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance files, including Customer correspondence and advertising materials.
- Act as a liaison between the broker-dealer and bank departments for seamless collaboration.
Leadership and Team Development
- Mentor financial services team members, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and professional growth.
- Provide coaching and training to enhance team performance and Customer service excellence.
- Lead by example, embodying the bank’s core values in all interactions.
Marketing and Strategic Initiatives
- Partner with marketing to design campaigns that promote financial planning services.
- Stay informed of industry trends to introduce innovative products and services that meet evolving Customer needs.
Customer Outreach and Relationship Building
- Proactively engage with Customers to expand existing relationships and build new ones.
- Identify opportunities to connect Customers with appropriate bank services and products.
- Represent the bank in the community, promoting its mission and values.
Employee Development and Performance Management
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance appraisals with team members.
- Recognize and reward high performance, addressing any issues promptly and constructively.
- Design and implement cohesive team processes that enhance client outcomes, foster exceptional service, and drive profitability for S&B Financial Services.
Additional Duties
- Participate in special projects as needed to support organizational goals.
- Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and industry certifications.
Required Skills or Training
- Demonstrates competency in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Highly effective verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively present to individual customers or to large groups.
- Must be a motivational leader who can hold candid and direct communication with all team members and Bank teammates.
- Experience with holistic financial planning and building recurring revenue, namely in advisory solutions.
Professional Certifications, Licenses, And/or Registration Requirements
- Life and Health licenses and SIE, 7, and 66 securities registrations. Series 24 or 9/10 preferred.
- Valid US driver’s license and access to transportation.
