What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Manager- McDonough, Ga position at Ceva Logistics?
YOUR ROLE
Manage the maintenance of buildings, ground, equipment and conveyor system. Directly leaddepartment of hourly and group leads. Oversees contractors for facility renovation and implementation projects entailing HVAC, electrical systems, and production floor and material handling equipment.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Define staffing requirements, hire, develop and retain staff of maintenance technicians and group leads.
- Develop preventive maintenance actions and schedules in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
- Ensure equipment and facility support systems are maintained in operation as required to support business operations in accordance with company and customer SLAs.
- Track all work performed and spare parts utilized using appropriate tool and systems. Manage proper staffing and spare parts inventories.
- Act as liaison to corporate facilities groups and serve as primary point of contact to facility landlord(s).
- Maintain log/database of all Service contracts for any supported equipment and/or systems (i.e., automation, powered industrial trucks, generators, HVAC, etc.)
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, related field or equivalent experience, preferred.
- Three to five years in Logistics/Distribution environment. Seven years in Logistics/Distribution environment, preferred.
Credentials: PMP certification, preferred.
Skills:
- Demonstrated success in leading, managing and developing staff and high performance teams.
* Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
* Computer literate
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, internet, web-based and specific job
related software applications.
* Ability to solve critical issues in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy and patience.
* Demonstrated skills in organization group process, problem identification and
resolution.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple
projects and set priorities.
Characteristics: Deep knowledge of/ experience in facilities engineering principles and practices. Able to interact with all levels of operations and management effectively.
