Job Summary :
We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Overland Park, Kansas team. The Staff Accountant will maintain and reconcile financial records, prepare financial reports, and assist with budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts every month.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial results
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Perform account analysis and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording of financial transactions
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices
