Engineering and Engineering ServicesJob Summary:As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support critical efforts to ensure equipment integrity, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance reliability. Collaborating with a diverse team, you will help maintain safe and efficient plant operations. You will report to the Chief Engineer, Asset Integrity and Reliability. You will work with the Mechanical Engineering team, the Engineering department, Maintenance personnel, Operations personnel, and other disciplines across the site. This position is onsite, and it is a safety sensitive position.Job Description:You Will:
- Technical:
- Be a primary technical resource for piping systems, pressure vessels, and stationary equipment.
- Support changes to plant equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Mechanical Integrity:
- Ensure adherence to PSM Mechanical Integrity standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Integrity Engineers and Inspectors for equipment inspections.
- Update maintenance and mechanical integrity procedures.
- Troubleshooting and Analysis:
- Investigate on-site equipment issues, document findings, and prevent recurrence.
- Provide emergency maintenance support.
- Project Management:
- Lead equipment upgrade and replacement projects.
- Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
You Have:
- Safety Mindset:
- Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to industry standards.
- Understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Ability to analyze and solve technical problems related to piping and pressure vessels.
- Ability to understand inspection codes and practices to support effective mechanical integrity practices.
- Ability to provide technical input to maintenance and production personnel to improve plant operating efficiencies and reliability.
- Excellent mathematical and computational skills and the ability to perform accurate real-world engineering analysis.
