Dispatcher

CF Logistics, LLC, located in Southeastern, PA , has an immediate opening for an LTL Dispatcher.

Essential Functions:

• Reviews daily orders and schedules CF Logistics and third party drivers / equipment to make deliveries to appropriate locations in order to meet customer delivery requirements.

• Monitors all shipments and provides prompt status updates to management, sales, and customers as appropriate related to issues affecting on time delivery.

• Acts as the point communicator with drivers and helps them resolve problems such as closed loading docks, overweight loads, accidents, directions, product discrepancies, equipment breakdowns, etc.

• Maintain effective lines of communication and feedback with internal managers to ensure prompt resolution of conditions that adversely affect safe and timely deliveries.

• Assembles all required driver documentation and reviews return paperwork to ensure drivers submit all completed documents.

• Completes daily reports and updates Company’s logistics systems.

• Prepares temp recorders and monitors temperature of loads.

• As the need arises, our dispatch staff may be asked to help out with making deliveries to our customers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experienced in dispatching local, regional, and OTR drivers.

• Basic knowledge and understanding of DOT regulations, focusing on Hours of Service and Elogs.

• CDL A License preferred.

• Prior CDL driving experience a real plus.

• Excellent communication skills. Able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

• Ability to read conventional and electronic mapping.

• Excellent computer skills needed. Knowledge of GPS, TMS, and WMS systems, preferred.

• Ability to deal with change and remain calm when unexpected circumstances arise.

• Ability to independently resolve problems.

• Ability to prioritize multiple requests.

• Accuracy and fine attention to documentation detail is imperative.

• Strong background in customer service and vendor relations required.

• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with a focus on Word and Excel.
