About the role:
The Associate Mortgage Banker is a part-time hourly business development role that fluctuates depending on the amount of sales/referral activity but will not exceed 20 hours per week. This position is responsible for self-sourcing new residential loan referrals and applications, working directly with one or more CFBank Mortgage Loan Officers as assigned.
What you’ll do:
- Building and maintaining relationships that result in quality residential loan applications.
- Marketing CFBank Mortgage and other products through attending events and proactive outreach to potential borrowers.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Bank products, with a focus on Residential Mortgage, to provide constructive and sound advice to potential clients, advising on the best product for them and referring to other bank partners where appropriate, always seeking to find ways to demonstrate the Bank’s value from a holistic perspective.
- Consult with potential borrowers of residential loans with an emphasis on first mortgage volumes within a desired footprint.
- Source and direct borrowers to the online application portal to complete the application with a dedicated Mortgage Loan Originator.
- Walk borrowers though the lending process to ensure they fully understand the process.
- Maintain contact and communicate with borrower, operations team, and MLO, assisting with the application process as needed to ensure smooth application process for your client.
- Participate in training as required, maintaining expert industry and job-specific knowledge.
- Comply with internal security policies and procedures and maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to all regulations, policies, and record-keeping requirements. Complete all required training related to bank regulations and policies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to demonstrate successful business development.
- Customer service and Mortgage industry experience are strongly preferred!
