About Us:
CFC Farm and Home Center is looking to add a team-oriented individual to our company! We are a local feed, seed, fertilizer, and retail business with seven locations throughout Virginia that have proudly served local farmers and members of the community since 1932. Here at CFC, we strive to serve both agricultural producers and homeowners across Northern and Central Virginia. We do this by manufacturing our own animal feed from locally sourced grains, offer services in agronomy and animal nutrition, and by providing a wide variety of products for all types of consumers.
Summary:
Feed Mill Operators oversee the complete operation of at least one feed and grain processing machine, using it to mix and handle or bag the finished product in accordance with established formulas.
What to Expect:
Responsibilities include:
- Mixing feed and grain according to specifications, formula, and Co-op Quality Assurance guidelines.
- Following verbal or written instructions for bagging and handling feed and grain.
- Controlling medicated ingredients; measuring and weighing as directed, and maintaining records as required by the FDA.
- Assuring that the processed feed and grain passes to the next operation by the proper method outlined in the control system manual.
- Assisting with loading the finished product on the delivery truck or customer vehicle, as needed.
- Replenishing materials as necessary to perform duties accordingly, notifying the Feed Mill Manager when inventories fall below acceptable levels.
- Maintaining proper safety and housekeeping standards in the assigned work area, as described in the Employee Manual.
Requirements:
- Computer equipment operation experience or training preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
