Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of facilities management, including maintenance management and industrial maintenance. This role is crucial for ensuring that our facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. Having environmental regulatory expereince, OSHA, EPA, and other is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day building operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Oversee maintenance management processes, including scheduling and coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and equipment performance.
- Fabricate and modify equipment as necessary to meet operational needs.
- Supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized services or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and facility conditions.
- Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and understand electrical systems.
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance practices, including logic controllers and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
