CFCU Community Credit Union (CFCU) is seeking a Robotic Process Automation Developer. The successful candidate will assist with RPA development through designing, coding, and testing for active projects. The RPA Developer will work on CFCU’s continuous improvement projects within the Credit Union using automation software to develop and automate tasks. This position will require technical expertise, combined with excellent planning, coordination and communication skills, and the ability to work on diverse teams collaboratively.
Requirements:& Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement software bots to automate repetitive tasks using the credit unions automation software.
- Perform testing of automated workflows to ensure they meet requirements, handle exceptions, and function as intended. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues post-deployment.
- Monitor RPA systems to track performance, identify issues, and ensure bots are running efficiently.
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement by identifying areas for further automation and driving innovation within the credit union.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in RPA, bringing new ideas to improve efficiency and operations.
- Provide technical support to RPA users within the organization, assisting with bot functionality and resolving process-related issues.
- Ensure data integrity and security in automated processes, especially when handling sensitive financial information and member data.
- Reviewing the code and the design and also providing expertise in the development, and integration of systems
- Coordinate the end-to-end deployment of RPA bots in production environments, ensuring a smooth transition from development to operational use.
- Continuously monitor bot performance to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization to improve processing speed and accuracy.
- Maintain an updated repository of all RPA bots, version histories, and change logs for compliance, audits, and future reference.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on RPA best practices, tools, and techniques, fostering a collaborative environment and helping staff build RPA-related competencies.
- Prioritize automation projects based on strategic value, complexity, and the potential for cost reduction or improved member service.
- Integrate advanced logic, decision-making, and data handling capabilities into bots for more sophisticated automations.
- Develop custom automation scripts using RPA technologies to automate specific tasks across various credit union departments, including loan processing, account opening, and customer support.
- Define the architecture for RPA processes, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing systems, databases, and applications within the credit union.
- Work closely with IT to integrate RPA bots with legacy systems and core banking platforms to automate processes that traditionally required manual intervention.
- Set up and manage user access for RPA systems, ensuring that appropriate permissions are granted based on roles and responsibilities, in accordance with internal access control policies
Require Knowledge & Skills:
- A four-year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school with 10 years related experience or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in house training or apprenticeship program and 15 years related experience.
- Minimum of three years of similar or related experience.
- Programming and traditional application programming skills
- Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
- Proficiency in RPA tools and technologies.
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work and travel independently.
- Experience in financial services, specifically with credit unions or banks, is a plus.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Frequent use of computer keyboard.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
