Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy lifting, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. You will work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery.
- Perform brake repair, alignment, and suspension work.
- Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Utilize power tools and electrical systems for repairs and maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Solder components as necessary to maintain electrical systems.
- Work with OEM specifications to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in repair and maintenance of heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with brake repair, alignment, fabrication, soldering, and suspension systems is highly desirable.
