Paraprofessional
Provides for the direct care and management of patient population of a partial care treatment center.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct care and management of patient population.
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
- Assists psycho-educational groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforces the patient’s treatment plan.
- Provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context.
- Accurately records daily patient progress in the medical record as well as completing other required paperwork.
- Rides along with the van driver to transport patients to and from program.
- Annual certification in the Handle With Care behavior management system.
Qualifications:
- BA in psychology, social work or related field OR Associates Degree and 2 years’ experience in provision of services to youth OR HS diploma and 5 years’ experience in the provision of services to youth.
- Must have demonstrated abilities to work with a team and to be able to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism.
- Ability to accept supervision and guidance.
- Seeks opportunities for personal and professional growth.
