Psychologist Corrections

Overview :

Oversees the day-to-day clinical operations. Develops an operational plan to implement approved polices, procedures and programs for a particular facility. Delegates appropriate tasks and provides clinical supervision on a regular basis. Provides professional psychological services to inmates. Performs all administrative tasks associated with the position.

Responsibilities :

• Development and implementation of clinical programs in conjunction with the Chief Psychiatrist.
• Provision of full range of psychological services to assigned patients. Services to include psychological evaluation, group & individual therapy and crisis intervention. All services to be documented in the patients electronic medical record.
• Participates in treatment team activities to include the development and periodic review of inmate treatment plans.
• Conducts and reviews psychological evaluations.
• Provides crisis intervention training to staff as assigned.
• Provides group & individual therapy and psycho-educational groups as requested by the treatment team.
• Administers and interprets intellectual and personality assessments when requested by the treatment team or as required by a forensic evaluation.
• Participates in unit morning reports (at relevant sites).
• Subject to on-call responsibilities as assigned.
• Complies with employee standards of the CFG Health Network and applicable employee standards of the facility where assigned. Compliance includes, but is not limited to, the maintenance of a working environment and personal conduct consistent with professional responsibilities, the development of harmonious working relationships and timely notification of supervisory personnel absences form institution.
• Ensures the implementation of CQI process and programs.
• All other duties as assigned.
