Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Implements strategies and ensures company goals and objectives are achieved in the Juvenile Justice Commission. Directs, manages, and supports HSAs at the site level and monitors processes and programs across multiple sites to achieve and meet contractual obligations, client expectations, and company goals.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Supervises, supports, and provides leadership to the site Health Service Administrators and management team.
- Cascades, translates, and reinforces strategic company priorities, target goals, and objectives in and across assigned sites.
- Ensures site compliance with CFG Policy and Procedures, contract requirements, state standards, NCCHC requirements, and company initiatives.
- Interviews, hires, evaluates, and submits recommendations for corrective action for assigned site management staff.
- Hires, orients, trains, and supervises site Health Services Administrators.
- Reviews, approves, and provides feedback on disciplinary actions issued by Health Services Administrator, as needed. Provide on-site coverage for site HSA positions.
- Ensures that all site deliverables are completed and forwarded to corporate management monthly.
- Assist sites with NCCHC accreditation preparation and review NCCHC site folders for compliance.
- Builds working relationships with clients to facilitate open communication and acts as a liaison between the company and custody administration.
- Provides written reports to the corporate office on contract compliance based on site inspections.
- Supervises the utilization of resources including equipment, supplies, overtime, and staffing variances, and reports budgetary deviations to the corporate office.
- Monitors and participates in the development of the quality improvement program.
- Provides monthly regional QI studies and outcomes on contract and program compliance.
- Collaborates with site management and Corporate Team members to implement and monitor business processes and clinical program initiatives across assigned sites.
- Tracks and monitors site contracts- including staffing, vacancies, penalties, and liquidated damages.
- Work with Talent Acquisition to onboard new managers.
- Proactively participates in recruitment and retention strategies across assigned sites.
- Attends monthly and quarterly MAC meetings.
- Develops, mentors, and coaches site Administrators in monitoring and managing staffing vacancies.
- Attend at least one staff meeting at each site per quarter.
- Understands, compares, and contrasts the strengths and weaknesses of direct reports. Leverages this knowledge/information to identify and implement improvement opportunities across assigned sites.
- Attend and participate in Company meetings and new initiatives including quarterly training of site HSA’s.
- Coaches and holds direct reports accountable for timely implementation of site contract requirements, providing feedback and personal improvement plans as needed.
- Tracks, monitors, and communicates key planning, budgeting activities
- Attends pre-bid meetings and participates in proposal development as assigned
- Reviews, analyzes, and provides root cause analysis on pharmacy variances for assigned sites and takes corrective action as needed to achieve company goals.
- Implements data collection tools for HSR related to client contract needs, coaches others in the collection and analysis of data. Directs appropriate action based on data analysis reviewing trends and patterns.
- Monitors site corrective action plans, and reports progress results.
- Responsible for the transition of facilities in his or her region ensuring Corporate Departments are notified and transition checklist is completed.
- Guides and assists in employee engagement, development, and retention efforts throughout area of responsibility and use-established criteria to monitor performance. Provides training and maintains “train the trainer” status to meet the required training needs of CFG and clients’ officer training requirements
- Identifies and communicates barriers, challenges, and resources needed to achieve expected results.
- Proactively identifies and communicates potential financial issues/risks, and takes action to drive improvements in financial performance.
- Assists in the development of new nursing policies, procedures, and practices
- Reviews and approves the periodic competency evaluations conducted on nursing staff by Health Services Administrator
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIRMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New Jersey. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health Management or related field required. Experience may be substituted for educational requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Multi-site management experience highly desirable.
- Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
- CCHP certification preferred.
- Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
- Travel 70%
- Computer literacy, including the use of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
