Key Responsibilities
- Provide mental health services including intake, crisis intervention, individual counseling, and group counseling.
- Analyze psychological/psychosocial aspects of individual interrelationships to gain understanding of an individual's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
- Act as a member of the treatment team to determine, coordinate, and implement appropriate inmate/patient care.
- Prepare and regularly maintain progress notes and discharge summaries on patients.
- Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for all inmates/patients.
- Facilitate regular therapeutic groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforce the inmate/patient's treatment plan.
- Provide observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context.
- Refer inmates/patients for outside services once released.
