Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Mental Health Care in a Correctional Setting
We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals in a correctional facility. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering mental health interventions, counseling, and crisis management in an underserved setting.
Responsibilities :
- Provide mental health services including intake assessments, crisis intervention, individual counseling, and group therapy.
- Analyze psychological and psychosocial factors to better understand individuals thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to determine, coordinate, and implement appropriate inmate / patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and discharge summaries in compliance with facility regulations.
- Ensure a therapeutic and safe environment for all inmates / patients.
- Facilitate therapeutic group sessions that address key treatment needs and reinforce individualized treatment plans.
- Provide observational feedback within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
- Coordinate post-release referrals to ensure continuity of care upon reintegration.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
