Location: JJC Juvenile Medium Security Facility
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 1 PM (20 hours/week)
CFG Health is seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services at the JJC Juvenile Medium Security Facility. This role involves diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders in justice-involved youth while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Perform psychiatric assessments and evaluations in accordance with NCCHC, APA, ACA, and PBNDS standards
🔹 Provide diagnosis, medication management, and psychotherapy for juvenile patients
🔹 Develop individualized treatment plans and adjust them as necessary
🔹 Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring safe and effective use
🔹 Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to coordinate care
🔹 Conduct forensic evaluations and document findings as required
🔹 Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Nurses
🔹 Assist with crisis intervention and provide on-call consultation as assigned
🔹 Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
🔹 Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PREA, OSHA, and correctional healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
✔ MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
✔ Completion of a U.S.-based residency program in psychiatry
✔ Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
✔ Unrestricted New Jersey medical license (Forensic Evaluator designation preferred)
✔ DEA and Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) license
✔ Experience in mental health delivery systems and medication management
✔ Correctional or forensic psychiatry experience preferred
✔ CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
✔ Strong skills in assessment, decision-making, and crisis management
Additional Requirements:
✔ Must pass all health and security screenings
✔ Comfortable working in a juvenile correctional healthcare environment
✔ Ability to handle legal depositions and court hearings when required
