CFG Merchant Solutions, LLC (CFGMS) is a rapidly growing alternative finance company that provides working capital to small and medium sized businesses throughout the US in the form of Revenue Based Financing.
As we continue to expand, we are looking to hire new talent and expand our existing teams. Underwriters in the Revenue-Based Finance Industry are responsible for pricing, underwriting, and managing a portfolio. assessing and managing risks associated with insuring people and assets. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions based on risk analysis. A bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field is typically required.
CFGMS offers independent contractors the opportunity for unlimited success and provides proper training and mentorship to support their growth in the industry. This role offers unlimited potential for success and is suited for individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset. This role is based out of our 180 Maiden Lane office in NYC and requires 5 days in the office.
Responsibilities:
Committing to go through internal training program and learning the Revenue-Based Finance industry
Assessing and evaluating risks associated with insuring merchants and small businesses and pricing deals accordingly
Managing and maintaining a portfolio of clients and conducting Merchant interviews
Collaborating with Underwriting teams and Sales Reps
Implementing guidelines to ensure a balanced ratio of favorable risks and minimize claim costs
Analyzing and gathering data from 3rd parties and making informed decisions based on risk analysis ie prospective merchant applications, credit reports, business bank & credit card statements, business financials, P&L, Balance Sheets, Tax Returns, and other related financial and publicly available due diligence information
Maintaining the financial stability and profitability of portfolio through effective risk management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field
1 years of experience working for a financial firm or in the Revenue-Based Financing industry is beneficial
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate analysis results to clients and colleagues
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Willingness to undergo training and mentorship provided by CFGMS.
