The Position:
We are seeking a full-time bilingual Clinical Therapist for our Early Childhood/PCIT program at our Balboa site in Northridge. The Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist will receive comprehensive training and full support to achieve PCIT certification through our agency. While their primary caseload will focus on PCIT cases, they may also provide additional clinical services as needed, including general intakes, early childhood assessments (ICARE), and therapy for young children and families. Additionally, the therapist will engage in foundational birth-to-five trainings to deepen their expertise in early childhood mental health.
What You’ll Do
- Will participate in and complete PCIT training and certification.
- Collaborate with DMH, DCFS, and other community partners to ensure compliance with FFPSA program requirements and coordinated care.
- Participate in FFPSA-required monitoring, data collection, and reporting to support program outcomes.
- Provide individual, family and group therapy to assigned caseload.
- Provide range of treatment services including but not limited to intakes, assessments, ongoing treatment planning and discharge planning.
- Provide field-based services as needed to meet the needs of the client.
- Develop effective, individualized treatment plans and monitor client progress.
- Meet performance targets and complete documentation per standards.
- The first four months of this position is fully onsite. Potential for hybrid work options are available based on performance.
- Fulltime – 40 hours per week. Work schedule is based on the needs of the center and caseload.
Starting Salary:
- A.M.F.T. and A.C.S.W. $67,000
- A.M.F.T. and L.C.S.W. $69,000 - $74,000
- Waivered Psychologist: $75,000
- Licensed Psychologist: $77,000 - $83,000
- Additional years of experience will be considered as well
- $3,000 differential available for bilingual Spanish-English proficiency (must pass Spanish Proficiency Assessment to qualify)
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
- Experience working with children and adolescents with intensive needs. Experience with ages 0-5 highly preferred.
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-based child and family interventions relevant to families served in the community mental health settings.
- Ability to develop reasonable, appropriate treatment plans and clinical programs to meet the needs of the clients.
- Ph.D., Psy.D., MSW, or MA/MS with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. Must be eligible to register with the Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Sciences.
