Child and Family Guidance Center is seeking a Licensed Practitioner of Healing Arts for a hybrid role in the North DFW area. The Licensed Practitioner of Healing Arts is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, collaborating with the court system in their Juvenile Diversion Division. This role involves optimizing program effectiveness, ensuring compliance with clinical and documentation standards, and implementing improvements to enhance client outcomes. This position is ideal for an experienced mental health professional who is passionate about providing quality mental health care in a community setting.
Program Oversight & Quality Assurance
- Ensure service delivery meets clinical and documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and agency policies.
- Recommend and implement program improvements to enhance efficiency and client outcomes.
- Maintain communication across service components to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in agency committees, work groups, and other organizational initiatives.
Clinical Services
- Provide direct mental health services, including individual therapy, family therapy, and parenting classes.
-Provide timely updates to the Johnson County Court System and be available to the judge on assigned court days.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and ensure evidence-based interventions are utilized.
- Offer crisis intervention services and de-escalation support when required.
-Ability to travel to home settings and provide telehealth services as needed.
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure adherence to the State Mental Health Code, agency policies, and ethical guidelines.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure staff compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and law enforcement to enhance service coordination.
-Has to complete new employee trainings within the first 30 days of employment.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure
- Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline required.
- LCSW, LPC, LPC-S, LMFT, or PhD, or equivalent state licensure required. (no interns)
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of three years of experience in community mental health setting.
-Minimum three years' experience working with children and families.
- Expertise in crisis intervention, assessment, and working with individuals experiencing acute psychiatric distress.
- Familiarity with community resources, legal systems, and public health services.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing mental health programs, crisis services, or co-occurring disorders.
- Certification in trauma-informed care, DBT, CBT, or other specialized modalities. (or willing to get certifications)
-Bi-lingual or Spanish Speaking
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Office, telehealth, and community-based service settings.
- Ability to travel between locations
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
