Vehicle Technician

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll:
- Perform high-quality repairs and inspections efficiently and accurately according to work instructions and document findings/results in a specialized service platform.
- Conduct multi-point inspections and system checks, making appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of fleet vehicles.
- Inspect and test all work performed as a Quality Control (QC) measure as soon as jobs are completed.
- Be willing/able to travel locally from time to time to configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road usage.
- Build an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partners.
- Assist with parts/tools inventory, location, and organization, ensuring that technician tools and shop facilities are in excellent working condition.
- Operate all equipment in the service center in a safe and productive manner, following safety standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) while working on the production floor.
- Requirements
- 5 years of automotive technician experience
- Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles/automotive systems
- Advanced electrical, ADAS, CAN and data collection experience
- Clean/excellent driving record
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables
- Reliable self-starter with a "roll up the sleeves" work ethic
- An outstanding communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Must be honest and responsible with a team player spirit
Preferred Qualifications:- Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in Automotive Repair
- ASE certification and/or manufacturer certification
- R&D experience (e.g., experience in an automotive-focused engineering or research lab such as Dyno, Battery, etc.)
- Ability to operate comfortably within and troubleshoot Linux-based systems
- Diagnostic troubleshooting experience w/ OEM systems, including high-level experience working with: Knowledgeable regarding optimization of fleet maintenance and OEM maintenance items
- HV systems and hybrid drivetrains
- CAN/LIN
- HVAC, cooling, chassis and suspension
- Diagnostic experience with embedded modules, self-driving systems and sensor stacks
- Experience with wiring diagrams and soldering
- Experience and ability to tow a car hauler and other large trailers to transport fleet vehicles
- Ability to travel locally and nationally (on occasion)
