What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body Shop Technician position at CFI?
$500 Sign On Bonus and two available shifts
- Sunday to Wednesday- Sun/Mon/Tues is 6 AM to 6 PM, Wed is 6 AM to 11:30 AM
- Wednesday to Saturday- Wed is 11 AM to 6 PM Thurs/Fri/Sat is 6 AM to 6 PM
Perform general body repairs to units with supervision. This may include repairing, replacing or refinishing various parts or components.
Essential Functions:
- Safely prepare body and chassis surfaces for refinishing with supervision of the Team Leader in accordance to departmental processes, procedures, and documentation
- Safely apply finish to body and chassis surfaces for refinishing with supervision of the Team Leader in accordance to departmental processes, procedures, and documentation
- Possess any necessary safety equipment required to safely perform assigned jobs
- Safely use any required shop or testing equipment to perform assigned jobs

Scope and Accountability:
Completes tasks by following pre-established procedures; applies basic technical and procedural knowledge; some formal training or experience is required to perform the job effectively; follows detailed and defined instructions and applies judgment to solve problems.
Knowledge and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess Power Industrial Truck certification. (on-site Training)
- Possess A/C certification preferred but not required
- Basic working knowledge of all mechanical systems on vehicles
- Can train to the position from Basic Mechanical ability, Tool purchase program available
- 80 hrs of vacation earned a year. 401K, Health Insurance / Dental / Vision available
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds over their head. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The duties of this job are performed in both an office environment and a light industrial environment, thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office equipment and industrial equipment.
