Job Description: Extrusion Supervisor
CFL Flooring is a global leader in luxury vinyl flooring. The CFL family is led by a competent staff with diverse backgrounds and years of technical flooring expertise. In July 2020, CFL Flooring announced its plan to open a US luxury vinyl flooring manufacturing facility in Adairsville, GA.
CFL USA is currently seeking candidates to join our rapidly expanding team. We seek to hire an Extrusion Supervisor that will report to our Extrusion Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the facility’s extrusion process on shift to ensure effective and efficient use of facilities and staff. The candidate must demonstrate superior leadership in safety, quality, cost, production, and service for the new LVT (SPC) manufacturing facility. It is imperative that the person is a natural leader. One must be detail oriented and possess a strong technical expertise, a focus on process orientation, root cause analysis and problem solving. Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing employees.
- Oversees schedules and assignments for the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Recommend and administer discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Support Quality Control and Quality Assurance for SOP improvements
- Support Machine Installation, Commissioning, and General Maintenance
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
- Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
- Ensure that all machinery is running at or above budgeted cycle times.
- Communicate between shifts to insure proper handoff to the next shift
- Implements quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
- Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
- Conducts random inspections and quality control checks.
- Periodically reports status of quality control and operations to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.
- Supervising and assisting changeovers
- Implement procedures which yield the highest quality luxury vinyl in the safest, most efficient and productive manner
- Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
- Delivers progress and production reports to leadership as requested.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Support Quality Control and Quality Assurance for SOP improvements

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing division.
- Experience with continuous manufacturing processes.
- Prefer previous vinyl manufacturing experience such as SPC vinyl extrusion, Laminating, Milling, twin screw extrusion process
- Ability to work with Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Engineering for Continuous Improvement
- Safety is a priority (must demonstrate)
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in business preferred or 3-5 years experience in extrusion strongly preferred
- Experience in supervision in industrial manufacturing required (3 years)
- Hands on experience with machinery
- Continuous Improvement mindset
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Must be able to quickly traverse manufacturing areas.
- Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, and squat in order to maintain equipment.
