What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician / Government Projects position at CFM Engineering?
Job Sites: Southern Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia
Compensation
- We pay by wage scale according to Davis-Bacon rates and fringe benefits.
Responsibilities
- Ability to read Contract Specifications and Drawings
- Install conduit, cable, cable tray and wiring in accordance with the Contract Documents and the National Electrical Code.
- Install electrical equipment, fire alarm systems, lighting, devices and systems in accordance with the Contract Documents and National Electrical Code.
- We service many different contracts and would require variable commutes from job site to job site.
Education, Training, and Certifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Possession of valid Journeyman's license is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
Working Conditions
- Must have prior electrical/fire alarm experience.
- Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required.
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to natural elements of cold, heat, moisture and wind.
- Must be able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 Lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must comply with the company’s drug requirements and background screening process.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Must pass background check to work on the various bases.
