- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related discipline is preferred.
- Active ITIL v4 Foundations, Certified Configuration Management Professional (CCMP), or CompTIA IT Operations Specialist certification
- 8 years of Configuration Management experience
Duties:
- Review existing system list of CI classes and determine possible methods to filter out the unwanted classes, and the associated CI records from the CMDB CI view.
- Establish and maintain the CMDB Baseline
- Review CMDB Health and process stale and orphan CIs, as well as any other issues.
- Review and improve process for creating Standard and Ad hoc reports, including pulling data from multiple tables.
- Review and make recommendations for improving the CM Change Management Process.
- Review and make recommendations for improving the CMDB Oversight and Maintenance process.
- Review the current GSS representation in the CMDB, as well as the GSS maintenance process, and make recommendations for improvements if needed.
- Validate CMDB system representation of all GSS, Major, and Minor applications as defined by the IT Security team.
- Review and make recommendations for improving the CM De-duplication process.
- Complete configuration of SNOW discovery to populate the CMDB with all CIs in the SECAPS environment.
- Establish and maintain SECAPS system representations in the CMDB.
- Create a system baseline and implement Change Management process.
- Identify and resolve technical issues that adversely impact the integrity of the system baseline.
- Develop and/or improve existing process documentation for resolving SNOW Discovery errors.
- Review the existing configuration and make recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor the impact of discovery scans and imports from 3rd party integrations for adverse impacts to data in the CMDB
- Support the SAM Manager in troubleshooting technical issues that impact software assets.
- Support process improvement efforts of acquiring the required data needed to create software entitlement records and facilitate tracking of software license allocations.
- Support development of processes to create standard and ad hoc software asset reporting.
- Review documentation and configurations for existing integrations with 3rd party systems and make recommendations for improvements.
- Review and improve process for mitigation of SNOW Discovery Errors
- Review existing CM processes and make recommendations for improvement.
