cFocus Software seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Business Requirements Analyst to join our program supporting HUD. This position is fully remote. This position requires active Public Trust clearance.
Qualifications :
Masters of bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field
A SME / BRA has at least five plus (5 ) years of experience in design, development and implementation of complex, large-scale computer systems and WEB applications, including system maintenance, modification, and resolution of system errors.
3 years of experience in DevOps (Software development and information technology operations)
3 years of experience with Azure cloud and / or similar cloud environments
Proven expertise working with local area networks (LAN), Unisys / IBM Mainframe data environments, Linux, Oracle, & MS SQL.
Duties :
Gather and define business requirements from HUD stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and other partners.
Analyze and document the needs of various stakeholders to ensure alignment with HUD's strategic goals and objectives.
Translate business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable specifications for project teams, ensuring that they are easily understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Prioritize business requirements, ensuring that critical business needs are addressed first while balancing resources and timelines.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings with HUD leadership, program managers, and end-users to gather insights into business needs and expectations.
Facilitate discussions and negotiations among stakeholders to resolve conflicting requirements and ensure consensus on project goals.
Provide regular updates to key stakeholders on the progress of business requirement gathering and ensure their expectations are managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Work with technical teams (e.g., developers, architects) to ensure that business requirements are appropriately translated into technical solutions.
Assist in evaluating potential solutions (software, systems, tools) to ensure they meet business needs, regulatory requirements, and HUD’s goals.
Facilitate gap analysis between current system functionality and desired capabilities, providing recommendations for bridging gaps.
Support the design and configuration of new systems or system modifications based on business requirements.
Provide ongoing support for implemented solutions, working with stakeholders to resolve issues and identify further opportunities for improvement.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the success of the solution in meeting business needs and recommend further adjustments if necessary
