General Function
Under limited supervision, supports CFP Board’s organizational goals and initiatives by providing support on the maintenance of CFP Board’s websites (CFP.net, LetsMakeAPlan.org, etc.) to further enhance CFP Board’s online presence and user experience .
Essential Functions
- Maintains CFP.net and LetsMakeAPlan.org sites including building webpages, updating webpages, preparing documents for web, properly placing content and general troubleshooting of both technical and content problems.
- Serves as primary point of contact for daily site content updates, working closely with site content owners and subject matter experts to keep websites current, relevant, dynamic and user-friendly.
- Processes web requests submitted by staff, including addressing or delegating requests as appropriate, and completing related follow-up.
- Ensures that quality and brand standards are met, and that content is current, written in a consistent style, and provides value to visitors.
- Supports the development, troubleshooting, testing and launch of online properties (modules, functionality, and other web resources).
- Incorporates user experience UX principles and customer-first mindset into web content, navigation and design.
- Assists with search engine marketing campaign efforts; responsible for optimizing site content using SEO principles to increase search-ability and visibility on search engines.
- Monitors website analytics, using Google Analytics and other metrics tools; Reviews site survey feedback and addresses staff requests for analytics.
- Manages webinar scheduling and setup, including webinar registration and presentation interface (Zoom)
- Collaborates with the Social Media Manager to maintain CFP Board’s YouTube channel.
- Trains CFP Board staff members how to use the Web Content Management System, as needed, supporting staff to ensure website content remains relevant and accurate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is based in the Washington D.C. office and works a hybrid schedule which could be changed at any time.

CFP Board is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The applicable starting annual base salary is anticipated to be in the range of $78,000.00 to $90,000.00. In addition to base salary, total compensation includes incentive compensation for which employees are eligible based on completion of individual goals.
