As a Sourcing Manager, you'll be an integral part of our team, responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the CFR supplier strategy for the sourcing of products and services. The role requires driving and developing comprehensive strategic relationships and sourcing strategies through strong technical/ industry expertise that significantly contribute to year-over-year operational improvement while also facilitating sourcing influence across the supply base.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support strategies for supplier demand forecasting, capacity planning, inventory management and replenishment.
- Identify new and current key suppliers to include dual sourcing opportunities for critical long lead-time parts.
- Issue purchase orders for assigned products and services, negotiate pricing and ensure supplier compliance, especially delivery dates and quantity/quality; resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Manage supplier performance; ensure suppliers are performing at an acceptable level and and participate in Supplier Team Audits and site visits.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships to secure the best price, service, quality and delivery.
- Monitor on-going vendor quality, price, delivery performance and assist with development and implementation of a supplier Score Card in Epicor ERP.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to minimize costs while ensuring a high level of service; proactively avoid material shortages.
- Facilitate the proactive and timely flow of information between the supply base and key internal customers.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings; be able to discuss technical requirements with suppliers such as dimensions, tolerances, finishes and other aspects of manufacturing.
- Drive cost reduction and cost avoidance opportunities; participate in cost reduction projects.
- Work closely with Supplier Quality to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services to determine the source of trouble and take corrective action to minimize impact on production.
- Actively challenge existing processes to drive simplification and improvement; become the EPICOR Sourcing Subject Matter Expert for solutions.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, materials management, supply chain management or other related discipline required.
Experience: Minimum 7 years work experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years experience in strategic sourcing, negotiating, and procurement; some international sourcing experience desired. Significant experience in manufacturing desired; mechanical engineering and/or machining/ casting background strongly desired. Ability to read and interpret contracts, engineering drawings, product specifications, industry codes, and ISO regulations.
Certification: ISM CPSM certification is desired. Quality Management Systems, ISO, and Lean Six Sigma disciplines, training and experience desired.
Software: Proficiency in software applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). Strong ERP experience (Epicor desired), particularly in the areas of PO creation and release.
Negotiation: Demonstrated negotiation skills with a strong understanding of legal terminology and language related to supplier agreements and contracts.
Intercultural sensitivity: International and intercultural experience and sensitivity required
Communication: Excellent communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
Travel: Ability to travel domestic and international (25%-50%).
