SUMMARY:
Custom Fundraising Solutions is a national network of independently-owned small businesses that help schools, churches, and other groups raise much-needed funds. CFS created the highly successful “mattress sale fundraiser” in 2005, which has helped organizations raise nearly $50 million through this unique fundraising event. With more than 90 locations across the U.S., local CFS operations now offer a variety of solutions to help groups raise funds, including new contact-free digital fundraising programs.
CFS COLORADO began in 2010 and is now one of the largest businesses in the network, having worked with 100 organizations and helped raised more than $2 million for Colorado area groups. Ownership is seeking to hire a Regional Account Sales Manager for the Colorado Springs location. The responsibilities of this role will be to increase sales, profitability and the success of the entity through effective management of existing account relationships and development of new business account relationships, both with a focus on driving sales and revenue growth. A mix of 75% relationship management and 25% new business development is expected.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains close client relationships with all fundraising groups, ensuring that the business is effectively meeting their needs.
- Develops new relationships with clients in the assigned territory.
- Assists with the development of sales and marketing materials to be used by the business in its efforts to increase sales and client relationships.
- Oversees the successful operation of the business’ mattress sale fundraiser events, which are unique one-day events at client’s location.
- Schedules and conduct various meetings with key audiences: clients/sponsors, parents, students, members of organization.
- Works with logistics partner for efficient event set-up and tear-down.
- Drives continual improvement of key areas of the business related to marketing and sales, and assists Ownership with related decision-making.
- Assess marketing opportunities within the assigned target market.
- Actively participates in community, industry, or other relevant associations.
- Drives communication upward through regular reports of all functional areas for Ownership review.
- Regularly reviews year over year sales metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned by Ownership.
Supervisory:
- Responsible for the management and ongoing training/development of part-time staff working in support of fundraising events.
- In conjunction with Ownership, has oversight responsibility for logistics partner.
Experience/Education:
- 5 years of experience in business-to-business sales role, with background of results in developing and managing B2B client relationships.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, management or other related field is preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities (SKA) Required:
- Excellent oral and written comprehension and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Maintaining and furthering a great reputation is a critical skill/expectation of this position.*
Working Conditions:
- The work schedule for this role includes weekend work as a primary element during the school year.
- Local travel within assigned territory is required with occasional overnights. (Approximately 5-10 times per year).
- Work is generally performed outside of the office with no unusual hazards; however, occasionally lifting of up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
- Reliable transportation is required.

Compensation:
- This is a base plus commissions/bonuses position.
- $60,000 - $80,000 is expected compensation first year.
- $80,000 - $120,000 is expected compensation thereafter but there is no ceiling.
