Community Based Prevention Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Prevention Specialist to deliver prevention curriculum to target populations, covering topics such as drug and alcohol prevention, violence prevention, and harm reduction. This role involves providing problem-solving skills, educating the community on social and communication skills, and organizing awareness events to promote CFS, Corp. programs.

The specialist will actively engage in community events, foster relationships with stakeholders, facilitate training sessions, and seek donations from local organizations.

Responsibilities also include maintaining records, conducting presentations, assisting with community assessments, and upholding professional credentials.

Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills while working collaboratively with staff, parents, and at-risk populations. The role requires flexibility, professionalism, and adherence to confidentiality and agency policies.

Attendance and organization of outreach activities and corporate events is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree or greater in social or behavioral science, counseling, or a closely related field. Education attainments that include marketing are preferred.

· One year experience where the primary responsibility was to provide counseling services to at risk populations is preferred. Additional related education or work experience that includes directly providing counseling or training services may be substituted on an equivalent time basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
