What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hope's Voice Advocate position at CFS, Corp.?
Providing Survivor Assistance services to survivors of domestic violence or sexual crimes as prescribed by law; assisting in providing comprehensive case management services to survivors of domestic violence and their families; and assisting in the delivery of prevention programming in both Daviess and Knox County.
- Recognize the signs and understand the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Become informed on the dynamics of trauma and its impact on behavior.
- Provide for the appropriate crisis intervention response to victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with the appropriate community partners.
- Assist in danger & lethality assessments.
- Provide guidance and assistance in developing appropriate safety planning for survivors and their families
- Assist survivors in obtaining protective orders.
- Available to be on call to answer the Hope’s Voice Hotline crisis calls as well as meet with clients after hours.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the social service field
- Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Never been charged and/or no pending charges for a felony or misdemeanor that would pose risks to victims or to the credibility of Hope’s Voice.
