CFS Transportation Provides non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services for ambulatory and wheelchair-bound passengers throughout San Diego County.
We’re looking for reliable, independent, and results-oriented full-time drivers (located in North County San Diego) for passenger transportation.
Daily Job Duties
The following is typical of the daily job duties for a Driver at CFS:
- Review and inspect the vehicle and equipment for safety
- Coordinate throughout the day with dispatch using cell phones and tablets
- Pick-up/ drop off our passengers and assist with loading, unloading, and securing passengers
- Operate a company vehicle in accordance with all traffic and safety laws
- Follow assigned routes on a time schedule using GPS navigation
- Ensure the safety of all passengers while loading, unloading, and driving
- Safely operate vehicle wheelchair lift to assist loading and unloading when needed
- Fuel and clean the vehicle when necessary
Hiring Requirements
All CFS Drivers must meet the following to be eligible for hire:
- Eligible to work in the United States (Age 21 and up)
- Able to pass a criminal background check including fingerprints by SD Sheriff
- Able to pass pre-employment DOT-level physical examination
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana)
- Possess a valid Class C or B California Driver’s License
- 3 years driving experience
- Have a clean driving record (provide a current DMV printout - H6)
- Able to stand/sit/kneel and to push/pull 50 lbs.
- Able to use GPS to navigate a route in accordance with the pre-determined schedule
- Able to use an online timecard app to clock in and out and receive information
- Able to maintain a positive attitude and exceptional customer service regardless of the situation
- Able to effectively multi-task, and to make sound decisions
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Able to communicate courteously and professionally with passengers and other staff
- Able to work both independently, and as part of a team

NEMT Driver Base Pay: $19 an hour, plus benefits
The hourly rate range that we expect to pay for this position is $19.00. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
