Job Summary
As a Deburring & Assembly Technician at CFW Precision Metal Components you will be responsible deburring, cleaning, and finishing parts for our CNC department. You will perform a variety of duties including cutting raw stock, inspecting parts, assembling parts, and supporting the production team as required to ensure production schedules are on-time, and high-quality standards are met.
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in deburring, finishing, assembling parts or working in a machine shop environment is a plus but not required.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic shop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with machined parts.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and be able to work well in a team environment.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Primary Job Duties
- Deburr, clean, and finish machined parts to meet quality standards.
- Use hand tools, grinders, and other equipment to remove sharp edges, burrs, and imperfections.
- Cut and prepare raw stock in preparation of CNC operations.
- Inspect parts to ensure they meet customer and company specifications.
- Assist machinists and other shop personnel with general tasks as needed.
- Install helicoils in support of our assembly requirements.
- Perform miscellaneous assembly requirements as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety guidelines and company procedures.
Language Skills
Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and production procedure manuals. The candidate must have the ability to write and speak effectively with internal customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills
Basic measuring skills required (Measuring tape, Calipers, Feeler Guage, and Dial Indicators).
Computer Skills
Must be able to make basic functional use of the Microsoft Office® suite of products with training (Word and Excel at a minimum).
Physical Demands
Performing the duties of this job requires the dexterity to handle, feel and inspect. The employee frequently is required to reach overhead, sit, stand, walk, and climb. 20/20 vision with the use of corrective lenses required. The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds.
