Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our civil construction office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company’s financial health through accurate reporting and analysis. This role requires a proactive and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain and oversee the company’s financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
· Handle quarterly tax filings and collaborate with CPA.
· Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
· Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations in compliance with company policies.
· Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
· Prepare financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting.
· Support the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction or a related industry.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Foundation Software, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
· Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
· Experience with construction-specific accounting practices, such as job costing and WIP reporting, is a plus.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
