Job Description:
As a Technology Service Technician, you will be essential in delivering a smooth and positive customer experience from start to finish in the service and repair process. In this role, you will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for a variety of technology systems and hardware. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Access Control, IP Networking, System Integration, AV, and CCTV technologies. You should possess excellent problem-solving abilities and the skill to effectively engage with customers to create a positive experience and meet their needs. Key responsibilities will include troubleshooting wiring and electrical systems, as well as the installation, cabling, and termination of components such as camera systems, routers, switches, and other related hardware. The ability to mount and install these systems with precision is crucial. This position requires both technical expertise and strong customer service skills to maintain high levels of satisfaction throughout the service process. Service Location will be in the Southern California Region traveling to different locations each day. Company van provided for traveling between service locations. Must have clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
· Install, configure, maintain, repair, and service access control, parking guidance, IP network, AV, and Video Security Surveillance systems. · Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including network connectivity and hardware failures. · Perform scheduled, routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment/systems under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating systems and checking out equipment to ensure it’s in satisfactory working order. · Complete maintenance in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs. · May assist in the start-up and check-out of new system installations. · Uphold Company Values and Standards and present a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance, in accordance with company policies. · Maintain company property and documentation in accordance with established policies; handle proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adhere to and supports C G Systems, LLC policies and procedures including all safety requirements. · Perform work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits. · Generate quotes based on findings of failed equipment with all associated costs.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 2 years’ experience installing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting low voltage wiring and electrical components and systems being used for Access Control, IP Networking, Video Surveillance, and Audio / Video equipment · Strong Knowledge of electronic mechanics (relays, power, open/close loops, and AC/DC theory) and a strong foundation in construction concepts (cabling, terminating, mounting, and installing camera systems, switches, routers, etc.) · Working knowledge of networking (subnetting, router configuration, LAN set-up, etc.) · IT, Parking Guidance, and Firm Alarm experience a plus · Ability to adapt to changes in project scope or unexpected challenges and provide quick problem solving skills to address issues during installation · Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis covering after hours and weekend emergency calls. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously · Able to use and understand digital volt meters · Electronic / Electrical Degree or Technical / Trade school certificate is a plus but not required · Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license, without restrictions and clean driving record · Must be willing to participate and pass the company's pre-employment screening process including a background investigation and drug screening · High School Diploma or GED
