AWS Architect

Job Summary: The AWS Migration Architect will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to the AWS cloud. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, and migration best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud computing, systems engineering, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migration Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive migration strategies tailored to client needs.
• Architecture Design: Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures using AWS services.
• Migration Planning: Create detailed migration plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Implementation: Lead the execution of migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
• Optimization: Continuously optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and clients.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of architectures, processes, and procedures.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years focused on cloud computing and AWS.
• Proven experience in migrating complex workloads to AWS.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and IAM.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in cloud architecture and design.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with database migration tools and techniques.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $58.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
